Independent wrestling star The Highlander added another major moment to his growing career this weekend after winning the first-ever Venomania Cup Battle Royal in Portsmouth.
Competing in front of a packed and energetic crowd at VENOMANIA, held at Stamshaw Community Centre for Venom Championship Wrestling, The Highlander outlasted the field in a hard-fought battle royal to secure the cup and continue his momentum heading into the rest of 2026.
Highlander has built a reputation for his physical style, crowd connection, and explosive offense.
The victory marks another milestone and follows a strong run across multiple promotions, with Highlander making an impact in both Essex and Portsmouth through appearances for Essex Pro Wrestling Entertainment and Venom Championship Wrestling.

In October last year, he captured the EPWE Tag Team Championships alongside mystery tag partner The Poltergeist, and now, with the Venomania Cup victory, Highlander simultaneously holds championship gold and tournament honours.
The result now places further attention on what comes next for the competitor, with momentum continuing to build at VCW.
Highlander is scheduled to wrestle on June 6th at EPWE, defending the Tag Team Championships, followed by EPWE Branfil on June 13th.
The next Venom Championship Wrestling show takes place on July 11th, where Highlander is also set to appear to face Jensen Theory one on one.
For Highlander, the message remains unchanged:
Stand. Fight. Highlander.
Against All Odds.
