Venom delivered another outstanding show on December 21 in Portsmouth. Here’s the results!
Michael Omega v Jake Electric v Sam Malam v Tomasso
The opening match to the show delivered an action packed match which saw over the top rope dives from Electric, who was making his debut.
After Omegas daring entrance which saw him wearing a Southampton FC shirt, the audience wanted him to get what he deserved.
The match saw tables, chairs and it was Tomasso who picked up the win.
Winner: Tomasso
After the match, we witnessed Sam Malam turn when he took out his frustrations. The usual cheers for Sam quickly changed to boos!
Johnny Royal v Gambit
Both wrestler were making their return to Venom and had a point to prove. After Tommy Youngs was unable to compete, Gambit stepped up and didn’t disappoint with some incredible athletic moves.
Royal battled back in a match which see Royal grab the win.
Winner: Johnny Royal
Karl Atlas v Raggedy
At our show in Wimborne Eric Howard-Scott introduced us to his alter ego Raggedy. Raggedy was keen to celebrate Xmas by handing out coal!
Atlas and Raggedy provided an awesome match and even when Atlas got the upper hand, Raggedy seemed to enjoy it. Atlas’s experience enabled him to take advantage to get the win.
Winner: Karl Atlas
JD Rollings and Carlos Chaotico (c) v James Cena and Boo Lemont
The tag team championships were on the line in this match which saw tensions escalate between the teams back at our Wimborne show.
JD Rollings and Carlos have looked strong since joining the New Blood and this match really went back and forth.
The audience were fully behind Cena and Boo but in another shock of the evening, Michael Omega appeared from nowhere slamming Boo with a chair to cause an DQ.
Winners by DQ: James Cena and Boo Lemont
JD and Carlos retain the championships which don’t change hands on DQ. But the biggest question is, has Omega joined the New Blood?
Sensational Simon v Ash Slade- Last man standing match
These two have been embroiled in a rivalry over the last few months and in September we saw Simon get the win.
Slade vowed to get the win and both gave their all including a hell of an over the top rope dive from Slade.
Slade did was he set out to do and got the win.
Winner: Ash Slade
Jensen Theory (c) v Ollie Wood- Venom championship match
Jensen came out accompanied by the New Blood and the audience made their views known with the loudest boos we had ever seen at Venom.
Theory grabbed the mic and ran his mouth by demanding the crowd shut up and give him the respect he deserves, which only made the boos louder!
Australian star Ollie Wood came out accompanied by Kora Moon to an incredible response and it was Wood who got the upper hand with some amazing moves into snapmares to get the advantage over the champ on several occasions.
The action spilled outside with Theory taking control slamming Ollie into the bar and the merchandise table until Kora intervened and slapped Theory in the face allowing Ollie to take control.
But a distraction from The New Blood allowed Theory to deliver a low blow and bitter end to pin Ollie for the win.
Winner and still venom champion: Jensen Theory
But when the New Blood continued to assault Wood after the match, Kora stepped in taking out Carlos and JD and then delivered strike to Theory.
In what can only be described as a sadistic act, Theory delivered superkick to Moon.
For a moment, Theory seemed remorseful and offered to help Moon up but it was all an act when Theory hit Kora with a devestating ATL.
Having seen enough Ash Slade intervened getting in Theory face before then to got into a brawl.
The New Blood attempted to get involved before Cena and Lemont came to Slades aid to end the show.
